Cutting-edge technology, such as artificial intelligence, or AI, has become one of the competitive focuses of China’s new energy vehicle industry.

At the Beijing auto show, which began on Thursday, the Chinese auto company Geely unveiled its Galaxy technology flagship SUV.

The SUV’s GEA global intelligent new energy architecture is an integrated AI intelligence architecture consisting of “hardware, system, ecosystem, and AI”, achieving spatial design, intelligent energy, overall safety, AI intelligence, and driving performance, the company said.

Geely also integrated its AI into the SUV’s seats. Through voice commands, it can not only achieve flexible spatial configurations such as steering, movement, and reclining inside the car but also autonomously drive out of the vehicle and complete intelligent last-mile travel based on navigation.

Gan Jiayue, CEO of Geely Auto, said: “Geely adheres to originality and insists on innovation. We hope to win respect and create value with our intelligent new energy vehicles.”

At the show, Geely also unveiled openings for 1,000 “AI trainers”, inviting users to train AI together and explore a more intelligent travel experience.

The company also showcased lots of intelligent travel and AI intelligent interaction products, including self-developed chips, satellite communication, AR glasses, AI mobile phones, and smart rings.

Geely owns many brands, including Lynk & Co, Zeekr, Lotus, Polestar, and Volvo.
