Phillips and Pinduoduo elevate their strategic cooperation

Deeptha Khanna, executive vice-president of Philips’ global executive committee and the chief business leader of Personal Health, led a delegation from their Netherlands headquarters, including regional leaders from around the world and the management team of Greater China, to visit Pinduoduo on March 26.

They engaged in in-depth discussions with the Pinduoduo executive team and reached an agreement on strategic cooperation. Both parties will embark on comprehensive cooperation in localization, digitization, and catering to younger demographics.

Royal Philips, a leader in global health technology, has a century-long history in the Chinese market. In China, Philips has accelerated the layout of its “end-to-end” value chain in research and development, manufacturing, market channels, sales, and services, making China one of Philips’ global innovation sources and value creation centers.

In 2022, the Philips Zhuhai Health Technology Industrial Park was completed. As one of the largest bases for the Personal Health business globally, the Zhuhai park serves the world, representing Philips’ high-end manufacturing capabilities and world-class quality management in the B2C business field.

This time, the Philips global executive team visited the new e-commerce platform Pinduoduo specifically to explore new models and opportunities, conveying the determination to deepen the Chinese market and expressing expectations for the future win-win development of cooperation between the two sides.
