State Grid Jinchang’s inspections see farmlands bloom

The warmth of spring signals the busy period for farmlands in Jinchang, Gansu province. In recent days, staff members from State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company entered the fields to deal with any electrical safety hazards and ensure a safe and reliable electricity supply for spring farming and irrigation by farmers.

They inspected the electrical transformers and lines for potential hazards and eliminated risks in the electrical facilities used for farming and irrigation.

In the first quarter of 2024, the company visited a total of 159 farmer users, guiding to eliminate 29 electrical safety hazards on the user side, conducting 226 field inspections and checking 32 irrigation lines.

To meet the temperature and humidity requirements for seedling cultivation and ensure the daily operation of equipment such as automatic irrigation systems, shading, ventilation, and temperature and humidity control in the greenhouses, the company’s staff members inspected the greenhouse’s electrical lines, irrigation pumps, distribution boxes, and leakage protection devices. Upon identifying electrical safety hazards, they provided suggestions for mending. They assisted users in installing temporary electrical lines that could meet constriction standards and cleared the unauthorized devices on-site. They dealt with users’ electricity-related issues after listening to their needs for power supply in farming and production.
